About
Welcome to Cafe Terrace, a charming culinary gem tucked away at 20819 Northern Blvd, Bayside, NY. Here, the enchanting atmosphere serves as a backdrop to a delightful menu that promises to engage all your senses. This innovative café blends cultural influences seamlessly, bringing forth a diverse array of dishes and drinks, highlighted by their renowned bingsoo and curated pastry selection.
Cafe Terrace dazzles with its high-quality offerings, one of which is the bingsoo, a Korean shaved ice dessert that has won the hearts of many. Customers like Liana Lu praise its exceptional freshness and perfect texture—attributes that elevate the dish beyond expectations. The desserts incorporate milky, creamy ice with tantalizing toppings such as mochi, corn flakes, and fresh fruit. The sparkling watermelon and mango bingsoo have been particularly highlighted, demonstrating the café’s commitment to freshness and flavor. These icy delights are not just desserts; they’re an experience that encapsulates the essence of summer.
But Cafe Terrace isn't merely about sweet treats. Patrons also rave about the savory options, with sandwiches that have reportedly melted hearts. As evelyn guillen shared, the staff’s kindness, exemplified by one employee’s thoughtful gesture, enhances the overall culinary experience. The café proves to be more than just a place to eat; it’s a community hub where you can study, unwind, or simply enjoy great company.
Another highlight is the variety of pastries, including creative tarts that have garnered attention from customers, like L. Spark. The tarts, especially the yuzu and mixed fruit variants, showcase the kitchen's attention to detail and craftsmanship. Occasionally, some have described the crust as needing improvement, yet the delightful fillings often compensate for this minor inconsistency.
While some patrons have raised concerns regarding service speed during busy periods, the overall warmth and efficiency of the café's employees shine brightly. Whether you’re treating yourself, seeking a spot to impress someone special, or just needing a quiet place to catch up on work, Cafe Terrace has something for everyone. Indulge in their delightful dishes and experience a cozy atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.
“ Update: came here again a few days afterwards to try some of the other bingsoo. I had the sparkling watermelon (17.50) and original (16.99). They were both very delicious and high quality. Fruit is fresh and crisp. Interesting that they add cocktail fruits to their bingsoo. For the original, they put the Korean grain powder, corn flakes, mochi, cocktail fruits, and red bean. This seems like a jack of all trades kind of cafe and I was skeptical of their bingsu but I decided to try the mango bingsu and it was a very pleasant surprise. I'm please to say its some of the best bingsu I've had in the queens area. The ice is milky and a little bit cheesy almost and not watery at all! There is a good consistency to it and there is a mango base underneath all the bingsu ice. The mango fruit pieces are nice and crispy and not too ripe. The mochi pieces offer a nice chewy texture. Put all together, it works excellent. I would love to come back and try their other bingsus. Services is efficient and workers are kind. ”
“ omg Nick is the sweetest ever! I had to return a sandwich back because I didn’t like it and then 20 mins later, he brought out a sandwich that he made himself and it really made me almost cry bc that’s the sweetest thing ever. food here is bomb and the atmosphere is bomb too and i come here to study or finish up my work. I love coming here and I’m glad the workers here are so nice too ”
“ Very pricy but definitely worth every penny! It's definitely a place if you are entertaining someone you want to impress or simply want to indulge yourself. Place you would go to spoil yourself! ”
“ Cute spot, good drinks, the sandwiches in the warmer are actually quite good. I like their red bean fish things, tho sometimes they can be kind of crunchy? Either way it’s a nice spot on a weekday to get some work done. Weekends definitely ... ”
“ Went there with my mom for the first time (always went by myself, quick in and out) last week and bought a few tarts, and she asked what the size was for the porridge and the guy in the front just shrugged and said he's new here. It was pretty lighthearted and we all laughed but in hindsight that really could've not ended well because he never actually bothered to check. It seemed like there is only one person working at a time so it wasn't a biggie but other than that the tarts are bomb! Not too sweet but the crust can be a hit or miss, because I would say 70% of the time it's a good old crust but the other 30% was like trying to break a rock lol. In perspective I had plastic forks and they all just....bent and snapped. I reccomend the yuzu and mixed fruit tarts, the custards for both is VERY well made and light. ”
“ one of the more affordable cafes in bayside, very sweet staff too (bingsu is also better priced than cafe auburndale) ”
“ I ordered mango bingsu and a strawberry smoothie, and it was delish! The price was reasonable, and I'll definitely be back again this summer. This is a great place to study or go on a date, and the guy who took our order was really cute. e. ”
“ I went to Cafe Terrace to pick up desserts for my family. They have the cutest little mini tarts with so many flavors to make everyone in your family happy. They were so delicious. The workers were so pleasant and the ambiance was super cute with Halloween Decorations for the time of year. The waffles looked delicious too! I’ve had their cappuccino as well, which was great! I will definitely be back to try more tarts and the other desserts and coffees! ”
